Megan Hover

Bay Area Development Director

Megan Hover has over a decade of experience as a fundraising professional advancing nonprofit organizations across the United States. Megan believes in the power of an inclusive society where everyone can explore their passions and thrive. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations that support trauma-impacted communities, including children in foster care, low-income youth, and adults with disabilities.

After relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, Megan joined Juma, contributing to the organization’s grant efforts. From 2018 to 2023, Megan served as the Development Director at Creativity Explored, a San Francisco-based art studio that partners with local artists with disabilities. During this time, Megan was also an active member of Juma’s Young Professionals Board and the San Francisco Local Advisory Board.

In 2023, Megan returned to Juma as the Bay Area Development Director, where she oversees philanthropic partnerships, leads local advisory boards, and manages Juma’s national fundraising gala. Additionally, she is an active participant in the Bay Area Jobs First Initiative, a multi-sector collaborative focused on creating equitable access to quality jobs across the region.

Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Rutgers University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University.
